Directions: From Longview, proceed W on State High-way 4 approximately 12 miles to Abernathy Creek Road. Turn N and follow this road for 3 miles to entrance sign on right.

Primary Wildlife: The center maintains a run of fall chinook salmon. Approximately 1,500,000 fingerlings are raised and released yearly.

The main objectives of the center are to develop methods, techniques, products, equipment and practices that will improve and enhance the rearing of Pacific salmon.

Recreation and Education: The center is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The best time to visit is from mid-September through the first week in October when the adult fish are spawning. From early December through May small fish can be seen in outdoor raceways. Group tours are available upon request.
