Bonneville Lock and Dam (Lake Bonneville) -- Oregon or Washington
Rugged rock walls of the Columbia River Gorge rise to 2,000 feet above the lake. Visitors can experience first-hand the operation of two of the Nation's largest hydroelectric powerhouses and watch migrating fish traveling upstream at the underwater viewing rooms next to the fish ladders. From Portland, OR, 40 miles E on I-84. From Vancouver, WA, 40 miles E on WA 14.

Chief Joseph Dam (Lake Rufus Woods)
A visitor center features a view within the world's largest straight-line powerhouse as well as interpretive displays. Bridgeport State Park is adjacent to the project. From Chelan, 30 miles N on US 97, 8 miles E on WA 17.

Ice Harbor Lock and Dam (Lake Sacajawea)
Along the Snake River, the waterway of the gold rush days. Visitors can watch Pacific salmon and steelhead trout en route to their spawning grounds. From Burbank, 8 miles E on WA 124.

Lake Washington Ship Canal/Visitors Center
Approximately 85,000 vessels pass through the two navigation locks each year. Underground windows offer a rare view of migrating salmon and trout passing through the fish ladder on their way to spawning grounds. Year-round color can be found in the seven-acre botanical gardens containing over 500 species. The visitors center offers exhibits about the history of the Corps and project operation. I-90 W to I-5 N to NE 50th St., to 3015 NW 54th St.

Little Goose Lock and Dam (Lake Bryan)
Visitor facilities at the fish ladder provide an excellent opportunity to see Pacific salmon and steelhead trout en route from rearing grounds in the Pacific to spawning grounds in the headwaters of the Snake River. 8 miles NE of Starbuck (follow signs).

Lower Granite Lock and Dam -- Washington or Idaho
A marina and launching ramps are available at this project on the Snake River. From Pomeroy, 20 miles NE (follow signs).

Lower Monumental Lock and Dam (Lake Herbert G. West)
Interpretive displays and excellent facilities for viewing Pacific salmon and steelhead trout en route to their spawning grounds on the Snake River are located at the dam. 6 miles S of Kahlotus.

Mill Creek Lake
This small lake provides day-use facilities for picnicking, trail use, and fishing. Visit nearby Fort Walla Walla Park. From Walla Walla, 4 miles E on US 12 (follow signs).

Mud Mountain Dam
The reservoir, formed by a high dam in a deep gorge on the White River is generally dry to provide flood control on the White River. From Enumclaw, 8 miles E on WA 410.
