U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - Louisiana Projects
Bayou Bodcau Dam
There is no permanent pool at this flood control dam. However, Bossier Parish maintains Ivan Lake on 520 acres of reservoir lands. A major waterfowl and upland game management and hunting area is open to the public. From Shreveport, 20 miles E on I-20, then N on LA 157 to Bellevue, 2 miles N on county road.

Day use facilities only. Received 37200 visitors last year.
Ouachita-Black Rivers Navigation Project
Two navigation pools with 17 recreation areas provide river access and day-use facilities along the 322-mile navigation system. Project headquarters (Monroe Navigation Field Office) are located at 3505 South Grand St., Monroe, LA. From north to south the pools are:
Columbia Lock & Dam Pool. Project has eight public access points to Ouachita River with picnicking, swimming, fishing and boating. Pool extends from LA/AR state line south to Riverton, LA..
Jonesville Lock & Dam Pool.. Project has nine public access points to Ouachita-Black Rivers with picnicking, fishing, and boating. Pool extends from Riverton, LA south to Jonesville Lock & Dam located on LA 124, 12 miles S of Jonesville, LA.
Pearl River Lock No. 1.. This recreation area on the Louisiana-Mississippi border is primarily for day-use fishing, hunting, and boating. There is also good nature study and bird watching. From Hattiesburg, MS, 76 miles S on I-59, 12 miles N on LA 41 to access road.
