The park has two campgrounds, one on each rim. Campsites are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Water must be used sparingly because it has to be hauled by tank truck. Each campsite has its own fireplace or char coal grill, and a table. Wood gathering is not permitted, nor is wood provided. Bring charcoal, or wood, and water with you. There is a nominal camping charge.

The South Rim Campground (102 sites) offers pit toilets, tables, and grills (no hookups). Sites are usually available even on the busiest weekends. The North Rim Campground (13 sites) has similar amenities. but occasionally fills. Although there are no group sites, groups can generally be accommodated at the South Rim Campground. Camping fees are $10.00 per site (maximum of 8 persons and 2 vehicles). All sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis (no reservations).
