GORP Tested: Bivouac Sacks
Outdoor Research Standard Bivy

The O.R. Standard Bivy comes with a nylon floor and Gore-Tex upper. It's also equipped with two interior straps aimed at keeping your sleeping pad in place, which sounds nifty, but our testers found it to be an unnecessary gimmick. All the testers concurred that O.R.'s zipper design, which follows the head seam, worked well in nasty weather.

When it came down to overall impressions and value, however, the O.R finished around the middle of the pack simply because you can purchase as good a bivy for less money.
