	About 40 miles into the ride, a Standard-bred bay pulling a black straight-sided buggy with a triangular orange reflector on the back trotted into town and signaled that the Big Ride had entered Amish country . . .
Today's Riding Reporter Update

Their table was full and they offered cookies, milk, and ice water to the 2000 Big Riders as we rode by. It was like an oasis in the heat of the afternoon.
